Annual Salary Range: $45,000 –$50,000
Summary Description:
The Advancement Operations Associate plays a vital role in managing functions and systems that support fundraising, training, and communications at Greater Mental Health of New York. The Associate works closely with a small team committed to raising awareness for mental health, educating the community, and strengthening private support for our life-changing and life-saving work. This role offers a combination of behind-the-scenes operations and creative and fulfilling hands-on work at fundraising, education, and other community events hosted and/or attended by Greater Mental Health.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support fundraising and development functions via management of DonorPerfect database, including:
- Processing and acknowledging donations in a timely manner
- Reconciling financial information and providing timely reports on fundraising progress upon request
- Produce mailing lists for appeals, events, and other cultivation opportunities
- Updating online donation forms as needed
- Support staff training processes via systems administration of Cornerstone (Learning Management System), including:
- Setting up new trainings, update existing trainings, add pre/post-tests, evaluations, etc.
- Assigning trainings
- Maintaining Training Calendar
- Training staff on navigating the LMS in order to complete required and additional trainings
- Support the growth and reach of communications and marketing initiatives by:
- Updating email marketing contacts and segmenting lists
- Assisting with timely and creative website updates and social media content as needed
- Support Community Education and External Training opportunities, including:
- Maintaining community events calendar and ensure assigned staff are prepared with materials and giveaways as need
- Assisting with other event needs, including list management, capturing attendee information, venue logistics, etc.
- Provide critical support (preparation and day-of-assistance) for events, including community education events, annual Gala, and other events that build community awareness
Key Competencies:
- A passion for creating greater access to affordable mental health and substance use treatment and recovery services
- High level of comfort with learning new systems and technologies
- Experience with Learning Management System (e.g., Cornerstone) and/or donor databases (DonorPerfect) preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a positive and collaborative approach to work
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining flexibility when needed for specific deadlines
- Comfort and success in working both independently and as a member of a small team
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Appropriate and timely actions taken during lifecycle of a donation (for example, acknowledgements sent within 7 business days)
- Ensure all new hires receive required Greater Mental Health training, provided through the Learning Management System, within 30 days of hire
- Timely delivery of projects and completion of tasks
- Accuracy and quality of donor and donation data
Requirements:
- 2 - 4 years’ related experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong computer and technical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English (Reading, Writing, Verbal)
- Legally eligible to work in the United States without Sponsorship
Special Considerations
- Work schedule:
- 100% onsite for first 90 days of employment
- Eligible for hybrid work schedule (at least three days on-site) after successful 90-day evaluation
- Hours per week, reporting structure, and location are subject to change per organizational needs
