Position Overview: The Greater Monadnock Collaborative, a regional Chamber of Commerce, is seeking a visionary and dynamic President to serve as its chief executive officer. The President will provide strategic leadership, operational management, and fiscal oversight to ensure the organization’s growth, sustainability, and alignment with community needs. This role is key in fostering relationships with members, stakeholders, and partners to drive economic development and regional initiatives. including traveling to our Monadnock Region offices, and other locations throughout our region for events, meetings, and other GMC related activities both during the workday, as well as occasional evenings and weekends. Additional responsibilities as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational & Financial Oversight: Develop and manage the annual budget, implement financial sustainability models, and ensure transparency and accountability in financial reporting.
- Staff Leadership & Development: Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team of 3-4 individuals, aligning staff roles with organizational goals and fostering a collaborative work culture.
- Membership Growth & Value: Lead membership recruitment, retention, and engagement efforts, while enhancing the value of programs and services.
- Strategic Leadership & Planning: Collaborate with the Board of Directors to develop and monitor strategic plans and track progress toward organizational objectives.
- Community Engagement & Advocacy: Build strong relationships with regional stakeholders, advocating for the organization at local, state, and national levels.
- Programs & Events: Design and execute programs and events that address regional needs, ensuring their continued relevance and impact.
- Public Relations & Marketing: Lead marketing efforts, media outreach, and digital engagement to promote the organization’s programs and initiatives.
- Board Relations: Advise and collaborate with the Board of Directors on organizational performance, priorities, and governance.
- Travel & Attendance: Travel to the Monadnock Region offices and various locations throughout the region for events, meetings, and other GMC-related activities. This may include occasional evening and weekend commitments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, nonprofit management, or related field.
- 7-10 years of executive-level experience in nonprofit or community-focused leadership roles.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, financial management, and staff supervision.
- Strong leadership, communication, and public speaking skills.
- Expertise in community development, advocacy, and coalition building.

The Greater Monadnock Collaborative offers a competitive starting salary of $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
