- Cook (must have current ServSafe Handler or Manager Certification)
- Camp Counselor (high school or college student with experience)
Reports to: Summer Camp Coordinator
Job Description:
Summer Educational Enrichment Program Staff will:
- Supervise up to 15 students in a classroom setting.
Prepare and teach lessons designed with a specific theme. - Communicate with families via email and in person.
- Supervise lunch, recess, and field trips.
- Schedule: Morning Shift 7:00 am-12:30 pm (5.5 hours daily= 27.5 hrs weekly)/ Afternoon Shift 12:00 pm-5:30 pm (5.5 hours daily= 27.5 hrs weekly)
- Teachers are expected to complete the required training and hiring paperwork.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise children while learning, eating, playing, on field trips, and at recess.
2. Complete necessary training prior to camps.
3. Maintain clean and sanitary work space.
4. Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
5. All staff is required to be engaging and to develop hands on-learning opportunities. This is a project based summer camp where students and teachers continuously engage in the learning process.
Work Period: May 29th and 30th (Setup Classrooms and Prepare Lessons) (Summer Position)
Education and Experience:
● Coordinator, Cook, and Teachers must be 21 years or older
● Teachers must have classroom experience on an elementary, middle, or high school level
Pay:
$12-$25 per hour depending on experience, education, and certifications
Paid bi-weekly according to our regular payroll schedule
Essential Job Functions and Skills:
1. Be on time to supervise students.
2. Work collaboratively with a co-teacher as equal partners in delivering your camp.
3. Read and understand the organizations Policies and Procedures, Parent Handbook, and other invaluable information needed to ensure the program complies with DHR, CNP, and all local, state, and federal laws.
4. Create and prepare for lessons; obtain materials within a given budget.
5. Management of student behaviors consistent with the organization's philosophy and
approach to discipline of natural consequences and empathy (Love and Logic).
Other Job Duties:
● Maintain your own timesheet using our clock-in/out system.
● Attend training sessions as needed.
● Any tasks that may arise related to the success of the summer camp program.
● Relationships: The Summer Staff will work collaboratively with internal and
external individuals and groups to ensure the enhancement of the camp
operation.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to present yourself in a professional manner,
communicate, listen to others, observe others’ actions, read text and information,
comprehend instructions and manuals, plan and organize, and physically move about
the school.
Note: Interviews will be held in March, staff will be selected in April, a 4 hour training will be scheduled in May, camp begins June 2nd.
Salary : $12 - $25
