Description
Under direct supervision of the Member Engagement Director, this position is invaluable to the organization. This position is the first person you will see when you walk in the doors at the Peoria YMCA. This detail-oriented individual will possess excellent customer service and sales skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both staff and members. Basic understanding of accounting principles, cash processing procedures and computer skills required. We are seeking an individual available to work Part-Time Monday -Friday 12-5 and open availability on Saturday & Sunday.
Requirements
- Available to work minimum 10-15 hours per week. (Monday-Friday 12-5PM with some weekend availability).
- Provides excellent service to members, guests, and program participants in the Y and on the phone contributing to member retention.
- Greet and assist all members, potential members, program participants and staff in a courteous, professional and friendly manner. Be enthusiastic towards members by learning their names and expressing an interest in their YMCA activities.
- Responsible for member sales and accurate data entry.
- Assists with membership events and promotions.
- Answer the phone, provide requested information, direct calls and take accurate messages.
- Producing successful membership sales, special events and benefits and promotion programs.
- Recruitment, enrollment and orientation of new members.
- Being knowledgeable of all facility activities.
- Producing membership reports and other data as requested.
- Contributing to a team-based environment with other staff in the facility.
- Creating and updating a Prospect Call list using day passes, guest passes and phone inquiry information, daily.
- Ensuring the availability of new member information packets, member prospect forms, class schedules, sales contracts and all member enrollment forms at all times.
- Processing and approving member financial assistance applications.
- Following all safety procedures that pertain to the duties performed. Supporting all aspects of the YMCA's safety program.
- Conduct tours and membership orientations.
- Keep workspace clean
- Performing all other duties as assigned.
