SUMMARY
The Fundraising Manager is essential to advancing the mission of Greater Rochester Habitat for Humanity (GRHFH) by securing the philanthropic funding necessary for our success.
This position is responsible for the oversight and execution of GRHFH’s fundraising campaigns. This position requires excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to speak publicly in various settings, work collaboratively across departments and various stakeholder groups, and prioritize and execute in a fast-paced office environment, all while remaining donor-centered and embracing / reflecting the mission and vision of GRHFH.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY :
- Act as relationship manager to house sponsor / philanthropic volunteer groups such as : Greater Rochester Interfaith Builders, Women Build, Leader’s Build, and other organizations seeking to align their volunteer activities with Habitat’s mission of building homes, communities and hope.
- Oversee and execute ongoing stewardship campaign including outreach to existing and potential donors.
- Manage and grow GRHFH’s annual giving and corporate giving campaigns.
- Provide leadership, structure, processes, and guidance to fundraising committees to help achieve goals of each program.
- Provide fundraising support to various special events, primarily GRHFH’s annual gala.
- Work with Director of Development & Marketing to create, implement, and report out on a comprehensive plan to achieve donor engagement campaign objectives, including metrics on donor acquisition, retention, and fundraising revenue.
- Work in partnership with Director of Development & Marketing and the Development team to identify and address barriers to performance and adherence to organizational goals.
- Raise community awareness of Habitat’s mission and its programs through speaking engagements, media, build day meet and greets, lunch & learns, and other initiatives.
- In partnership with communications staff and vendors, interface with and implement donor digital communications including website, email, social media, crowdfunding platforms, newsletters, and calendars.
