Position Objectives: The employee in this position will serve all GRCSU schools as a dynamic educational leader and will be responsible for supporting the curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional development systems aligned with the goals of the GRCSU Strategic Plan under the direction of the administrative leadership team.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan, organize, coordinate, evaluate and direct all phases of curriculum development and articulation.
Support the administrative team in coordinating high quality professional development opportunities across GRCSU schools.
Serve in a leadership position on the GRCSU MTSS (Multi-tiered Systems of Support) Team.
Develop communications within the GRCSU related to curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional development.
Design, implement and manage complex district-wide systems focused on continuous improvement of student performance and achievement.
Facilitate and participates in a variety of meetings, projects, activities, and events on behalf of the leadership team.
Other duties as assigned.
Supervision Received: Reports to Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, and individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, in addition to the following:
Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in education and a valid VT Educator secondary level teacher license or comparable experience/education.
Excellent interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills.
Extensive and sophisticated knowledge of curriculum, best practices in instruction and assessment, and adult professional development.
Experience implementing high quality professional development for educators.
Demonstrated record of success leading strategic educational initiatives that result in improved student achievement.
Ability to assume responsibility, work effectively, and independently under pressure and maintain high levels of confidentiality.
Experience in project management and facilitating change.
Ability to utilize technology to support communication and accessibility of information and resources.
Knowledge of federal and state regulations and guidance in the areas of curriculum, instruction, assessment and professional development.
Successful candidates will have a minimum of 10 years teaching/administrative experience with excellent organizational, collaborative and communication skills.
