Job Title: Executive Director
Position Type: 40-50 Hours per Week, Full-Time, Exempt
Reports to: Chair of the Board
The Chamber serves Sandpoint, Idaho, and the surrounding communities. We focus on supporting our local businesses and adding value to the community. In order to support our business members, the Chamber operates a visitor's center, coordinates annual events featuring our businesses, provides advertising for businesses and tourism, and runs monthly networking luncheons, among other activities. We like to engage with our community and, preferably, have fun doing it. Our Chamber does not engage in political activities or lobbying.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communications, business, or finance fields; or comparable professional training and experience.
· Management/executive level experience in a business-related field or other leadership position, including supervision of staff and oversight of finances.
· Online and print marketing.
· Event management and public speaking.
DUTIES:
· Serve as the face of the Chamber, actively participating in community related events, networking with the general public and potential members.
· Work directly with the Chair of the Board, Executive Committee and Board of Directors by maintaining and promoting the vision and mission of the Chamber to achieve the goals and objectives of the Strategic Plan.
· Facilitate the planning and materials for all Chamber of Commerce meetings.
· Establish and strengthen working relationships with partners on the local, regional, and state levels.
· Work with and oversee Membership Specialist to maintain, develop, and grow the Chamber membership.
· Provide members with value-added programs that drive membership growth and retention.
· Implement the Board-approved Strategic Plan as it relates to the Chamber operating budget and fundraising activities, and coordinate with Board Treasurer.
· Maintain fiscal responsibility for both the short term and annual budget, and report to the Board monthly.
· Apply for annual tourism grants funding and spend funding according to grant parameters, including managing regional and international marketing, and coordinating with Visit Sandpoint committee.
· Provide leadership in developing organizational and financial plans with the Board and other staff, and carry out plans and policies as authorized by the Board.
· Maintain a working knowledge of significant developments and trends in the business community, not for profit organizations along with economic and political changes that affect the business community.
· Oversee, update and make recommendations to current programs of the Chamber and work with staff to develop new programs to achieve objectives of the Chamber’s Strategic Plan.
· Management of Chamber staff to include hiring and termination of employees through an annual employee performance review process.
· Plan, manage, and fundraising events, with an emphasis on events that promote Chamber members.
· Plan and manage monthly Chamber luncheons.
· Maintain consistent social media presence to promote the Chamber and Chamber members.
· Manage and support with Visitor Center Operations.
· Plan and instruct Sandpoint Leadership program.
· Oversee and support facility maintenance.
· Other duties as assigned by the Board

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
