Salary Range: $31.00 - $39.00 Based on experience level and license.
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medication Assisted Recovery (MAR) / Psychiatric Nurse to join our team. This role is vital in supporting psychiatric nurse practitioners and primary care providers in delivering high-quality care to patients receiving Medication Assisted Recovery (MAR) services. The MAR Nurse will play a key role in triage, patient education, medication administration, and coordination of care for patients prescribed Suboxone, Sublocade, and Vivitrol. This position also involves cross-training in Primary Care and potential cross-coverage across different sites as needed. This position will regularly provide services at both our Somersworth and Portsmouth sites, as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary clinical contact supporting psychiatric nurse practitioners for triage, medication refills, and in-office procedures (e.g., EKGs, point-of-care testing).
- Coordinate all aspects of patient care for MAR patients, including screening, intake, medication induction, and stabilization/maintenance visits.
- Provide patient education on treatment expectations and assist in the development of self-management goals.
- Conduct triage assessments, ensuring timely and appropriate care for acute complaints.
- Administer medications, injections, immunizations, and wound care.
- Process medication refill and prior authorization requests efficiently.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team to ensure a seamless and patient-centered experience.
- Assist patients in accessing internal and external recovery and health resources.
- Support psychiatric providers by managing patient communication and care coordination.
- Maintain compliance with all quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
Qualifications
- LPN or RN with a current NH nursing license (BSN preferred).
- Experience in behavioral health and/or substance use treatment is preferred.
- Strong proficiency with electronic health records (EHRs) and other computer systems.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and patient-centered environment.
- Flexibility to work across sites and departments as needed.

This position is eligible for a one-time sign-on bonus of up to $5,000.00.
