In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the Operations Support Manager in executing various operational functions critical to the credit union's efficiency. This non-member-facing position involves a wide range of responsibilities encompassing social security research, asset verification, and the administration of various financial processes.
Research and Verification:
- Conduct social security and CPS/State research to ensure accurate data handling.
- Perform asset verification and document findings for review.
- Manage returned mail, and handle state payroll transactions.
- Assist with payment processing which may include loan payoffs, repo checks, etc.
- Prepares communications to be delivered to members in written format.
- Generate End-of-Month (EOM) branch reports to track and analyze operational performance.
- Serve as an administrator for IRA/HSA accounts and manage medallion signature guarantee processes.
- Administer Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) processes to facilitate digital transactions.
- Monitor online accounts, conduct audits, and address issues related to Minor Accounts.
- Handle subpoena requests and collaborate with legal teams as needed.
- Manage account restrictions, including placing and removing restrictions on new accounts.
- Oversee foreign accounts to meet government compliance requirements.
- Comply with the credit union Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Policy and Anti Money Laundering and Member Due Diligence Procedures. The BSA training is to be completed within 90 days of employment and annually thereafter.
- Complete compliance and career development training as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.
Must-Have as an Operations Support Specialist:
- Experience: 2 years of related experience in a credit union or bank.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in transaction handling. Strong productivity, problem-solving, organizational, time management, and multitasking skills. Proficiency in using relevant technology and software.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
