GWMFM seeks a full time medical assistant for our Fairfax office. Responsibilities include receiving and assigning lab results in the EMR system, working with our diabetic patients, handling pre-conception scheduling, inputting patient info into the EMR system, assisting doctors with procedures, drawing blood and handling patient specimens, maintaining chain of control over specimens, packaging and labeling specimens, monitoring medical supply inventories, preparing restocking orders and assisting the front office with patient registration, co-pay collection, entering/verifying patient information, answering phones, making complex appointments, checkout and other duties. Candidates must have experience in a similar position, preferably MFM or OB/GYN, and must be dependable, professional, communicate well with patients and be a team player.
