The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.
What You'll Do:
Recruit, interview, and participate in the selection of both internal and external applicants for assigned non-exempt positions.
Responsible for orienting new employees to the organization and is the point-of-contact for all new employee questions.
Assist in employee relations issues, counseling and coaching employees concerning Company policies and practices.
Ensure the maintenance of accurate records of employment by performing annual HR file audits including hires, terminations, transfers, wages, training, promotions, demotions, discipline, etc. in an organized manner.
Assist in the administration of Human Resources responsibilities such as benefits administration, position descriptions and evaluations, unemployment compensation, and performance management.
Monitor and effectively track non-exempt vacation time.
Must be able to work flexible hours at times to support three shifts of employees.
Assist the Human Resources Manager with various HR projects.
Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
Performs miscellaneous work assignments as directed by the manager.
Associate will take place in training program for specific position.

What We Need from You:
Associate Degree in Human Resources (preferred) or related field.
Basic understanding of employment law.
1 – 2 years of experience in human resources (manufacturing/automotive) preferred.
Good oral and written communication skills.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Experience in HRIS systems.
Organized.
