What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Coordinator position at Green Bay Packaging - Folding Carton Division?
Position Overview
Responsible for all incoming, outgoing and movement of materials to support production needs.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Organize and prepare all outgoing shipments
- Ensure all finished product is labeled correctly and processed accordingly within ERP system.
- Perform data entry and maintenance of documentation supporting all shipping transactions
- Collaborate with production supervisors, customer service, and scheduling to ensure timely and efficient deliveries to customers
- Maintain accurate inventory of finished goods, including inventory counts, updating ERP system, and investigating discrepancies.
- Assist with scheduling of raw material deliveries
- Communicate with freight carriers and drivers for deliveries/pick-ups as needed throughout the day
- Assist supervisor with any department needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in shipping/receiving
- Strong technical skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- High sense of urgency & attention to detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication, and good interpersonal skills
- Proficient with MS Office suite
- Experience in manufacturing a plus
