What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Coordinator position at Green Bay Packaging - Folding Carton Division?
Position Overview
Responsible for all incoming, outgoing and movement of materials to support production needs.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Organize and prepare all outgoing shipments
Ensure all finished product is labeled correctly and processed accordingly within ERP system.
Perform data entry and maintenance of documentation supporting all shipping transactions
Collaborate with production supervisors, customer service, and scheduling to ensure timely and efficient deliveries to customers
Maintain accurate inventory of finished goods, including inventory counts, updating ERP system, and investigating discrepancies.
Assist with scheduling of raw material deliveries
Communicate with freight carriers and drivers for deliveries / pick-ups as needed throughout the day
Assist supervisor with any department needs.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
1-3 years of experience in shipping / receiving
Strong technical skills
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
High sense of urgency & attention to detail
Good problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication, and good interpersonal skills
Proficient with MS Office suite
Experience in manufacturing a plus
