Inventory Specialist - Sanford, NC

Green Bean Battery, a LKQ Corporation company, is a growing reconditioned hybrid battery company. We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our team.

This individual will be responsible for managing, analyzing, and ensuring the accuracy of data within our ERP and inventory systems. The ideal candidate will have advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Suite, hands-on experience with ERP systems, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and solve complex data challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Management & Reporting

• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across ERP modules by validating, cleansing, and updating records regularly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data discrepancies and maintain data integrity.
• Assist in migrating and integrating external data into the ERP system to ensure timely and accurate transfers.
• Leverage advanced Excel functions (e.g., pivot tables, complex formulas, macros) to create customized reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights for various teams.
• Generate and analyze key inventory and logistics reports, including Min-Max, Demand & Inventory, Inventory Cost, Expired Inventory, and Cycle Count Results.

Data Analysis & Process Improvement

• Perform cross-functional data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business strategy, particularly in inventory management and supply chain optimization.
• Conduct advanced data modeling, including regression analysis, time-series analysis, and predictive modeling to drive decisions and optimize operations.
• Identify inefficiencies within data workflows and recommend improvements to streamline operations and enhance reporting.
• Implement automation tools to reduce manual data entry and processing time, improving efficiency and minimizing errors.
• Provide training on best practices for data reporting and ERP functionality.

Inventory & Logistics

• Communicate daily with the customer-facing team regarding inventory movements across various locations.
• Provide real-time chat support for inventory and shipment inquiries.
• Assist with cycle counting and inventory updates to ensure accurate stock levels.
• Support weekly demand planning for production facilities, utilizing Min-Max inventory levels to fulfill orders.
• Coordinate specialty product orders, manage production scheduling, and track raw material demand to maintain optimal stock levels.
• Manage daily inventory operations, ensuring smooth stock movement and replenishment.

Shipping & Logistics

• Monitor and track inter-company shipments and direct-to-customer deliveries, ensuring timely arrival and proper scheduling.
• Coordinate product returns from storage units to distribution centers using the LTL scheduling system.
• Manage outbound shipments of specific SKUs and schedule inbound core returns from customers.
• Collaborate with customer support to enforce penalty fees for overdue core returns.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay current with industry trends and new ERP system advancements, continually improving data analysis practices.
• Participate in training programs to enhance data reporting and analysis capabilities.

Qualifications

• At least two years' experience with advanced functions of Microsoft Excel.
• High attention to detail with a focus on maintaining data integrity and consistency across platforms.
• Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring high-quality results.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex data findings clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
• Knowledge of best practices in data management, automation, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Proven experience with ERP systems (preferably in inventory management) and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong ability to perform cross-functional data analysis and conduct root-cause analysis to identify and resolve issues.
• Experience in data modeling, forecasting, and statistical analysis using Excel or other tools. Experience in inventory or supply chain management.
• Familiarity with predictive modeling techniques and tools.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to align data insights with business goals.
