What are the responsibilities and job description for the Respite Supervisor position at Green Chimneys?
Green Chimneys is seeking a Respite Services Program Supervisor to join our dedicated social services team. This supervisor is responsible for facilitating treatment for youth in Crisis with Green Chimneys’ Respite Services. They are responsible for ensuring youth are provided with individualized/group services geared towards returning them to regular programming. The Respite Services Program Supervisor is responsible for the day to day function and implementation of programming for Respite Services. The Respite Services Program Supervisor is responsible for appropriate documentation of services and billing, as well as providing supervision/oversight to Respite Counselors. This position is essential for leading our team of Respite Counselors and reports directly to the Assistant Director of Social Services.
Education/Experience
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Creative Arts, or related human services field preferred.
- Three years’ experience in providing direct services to youth with serious emotional disturbances, with one year being in a supervisory position.
OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or related human services field, working towards obtaining a Masters in a related field.
- Four years’ experience in providing direct services to children with serious emotional disturbances with two years being in a supervisory position.
Licensure/Certification
- LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LCAT preferred
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
The incumbent will have this knowledge:
- Knowledge of DBT, PBIS, KMPT, BBI, TCI, MAB and/or KPMT preferred
- Knowledge of Kickboard, Netsmart PowerSchool preferred
- Knowledge to promote recovery oriented, strength-based, trauma informed approach with an emphasis on asset and resilience building
- A general understanding of Medicaid Managed Care
This is a 40 hour per week benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday- Friday however the candidate must be flexible as the hours may fluctuate depending on need and emergencies.
The salary for this position is $56,493-$60,237 DOE.
