What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dental Scheduling/Financial Coordinator position at Green City Dental?
We are looking for a dynamic leader for our growing general practice in Edmonds, Washington.
Our office is dedicated to having a team-centered dental office that focuses on a high quality patient care experience. We are an insurance-free practice which means you get to focus your energy on patient care and daily operations, instead of dealing with insurance companies. This is a full-time position with some flexibility in hours and opportunity to grow in the company.
The ideal candidate must have:
- Great patient communication skills- in person, in email, and on the phone
- Open to learning and participation in continuing education
- Demonstrates leadership and basic management skills with a patient centric approach
- Works independently and is self-directed with a proactive, positive, and high energy orientation
- Works effectively in a team environment
- Familiarity of dental terminology, front and back office processes/experience in the dental field
- Excited to learn and deploy new technologies to drive productivity and improve patient care
Other Daily Tasks Include:
- Managing day to day operations of the dental office
- Answer phones, schedule efficiently, creating and presenting treatment plans
- Providing financial arrangements and collecting money
- Lead, motivate and supervise the team
- Assist in dental team development
- Maintain office flow, punctuality and productivity
- Handling all patient service issues to ensure patient satisfaction
- Building office morale to support office culture
- Completing daily and monthly reporting
Education
- High school graduate or equivalent
Preferred:
- Post high school education in office/clerical coursework
- Graduate of a Medical/Dental Administrative Assistant Certification program or related field
Experience
- Customer service related experience working with the general public (2 years)
- Clerical, reception, dental assisting, administrative or secretarial experience (2 years); or a combination of equivalent education and work experience
- Experience with multiple provider scheduling (1 year)
Preferred:
- Supervisory position experience (1 year).
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) and/or Electronic Practice Management System experience.
- Coaching and/or team building experience.
