Position Overview :
The Pellet Mill Supervisor oversees production operations, ensures workplace safety, and drives productivity and quality in the wood pellet manufacturing process.
Key Responsibilities :
Safety Management :
Enforce safety protocols and conduct daily inspections.
Develop and deliver safety training programs.
Investigate safety incidents and implement preventive measures.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company standards.
Production Oversight :
Manage daily operations to meet production and quality targets.
Optimize processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Oversee equipment maintenance and performance.
Maintain production logs and implement continuous improvement strategies.
Team Leadership :
Supervise and mentor 10-20 production operators.
Communicate goals and performance expectations clearly.
Conduct performance evaluations and foster teamwork.
Support recruitment, training, and onboarding.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent.
3-5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Strong background in safety management and wood pellet production.
Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with production software and data analysis tools.
Technical Skills :
Understanding of pellet mill equipment and operations.
Experience with preventative maintenance and safety regulations.
Competency in Microsoft Office and production tracking software.
Environmental Compliance :
Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits.
Oversee emissions checks and maintain accurate records.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
Must wear required PPE and work in industrial environments.
Performance Metrics :
Achieve zero recordable safety incidents.
Meet or exceed production targets and maintain equipment efficiency.
Shift Details :
