Position Summary
The Sales Account Exec II is responsible for building relationships with individuals and companies in the Payroll and HR community in order to sell the company’s products and services and reach internal sales goals. This position will also contribute to developing and implementing sales strategies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Creating awareness and demand for the company’s products and services through strategic outreach and consultative selling.
• Proactively identifying and qualifying potential opportunities; effectively presenting tailored solutions that align with prospect/client needs.
• Managing a growing portfolio of clients and prospects while collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure continuity and a consistent client experience.
• Identifying and pursuing business development opportunities through networking, referrals, and participation in industry events.
• Delivering polished product demos and service presentations, including ROI-driven proposals.
• Assisting in the onboarding of new clients and serving as a resource post-sale to ensure a smooth transition to account management.
• Negotiating contracts with a focus on value delivery and long-term partnerships.
• Contributing to the improvement of sales processes and collateral through market feedback.
• Supporting and mentoring Sales Account Executives as needed by sharing best practices and tools for success.
• Performing other related duties as assigned in support of team and departmental goals.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
• 2–4 years of successful B2B sales experience preferred; payroll/HR tech industry strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding individual sales quotas.
• Deep knowledge of consultative and relationship-based selling strategies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop trusted advisor relationships.
• Skilled in proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
• Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM platforms.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with evolving targets and tools.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.
