Green Meadows Partners is currently assisting multiple clients in the Knoxville area in search of an experienced Controller to join their team.
The Controller is responsible for managing all financial services, including regulatory financial reporting, the month-end close process, and the preparation of budgets and forecasts. The role also involves developing control policies and procedures. The Controller directly supervises the accounting staff, ensuring adherence to departmental operational policies and practices.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including payroll, invoicing, payables, and daily transactions.
- Prepare monthly profit/loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, along with future cash projections.
- Prepare financial reports as needed by management.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of sales and use tax returns and other external reports.
- Coordinate with outside auditors for tax returns and financial audits.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial reports, budgets, forecasts, and make recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain legal, treasury, and tax documentation, ensuring compliance with statutory and fiscal requirements, including permits and licenses.
- Ensure adequate insurance coverage for company assets and maintain internal controls to protect assets.

- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting preferred; or equivalent experience.
- CPA license preferred but not required.
- 10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
- 2 years of experience managing accounting functions.
- Knowledge of accounting regulations and GAAP.
- Experience with ERP systems and data extraction for analysis and reporting.
- 2-4 years of accounting/finance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Salary : $100,000 - $160,000
