Position Summary
The General Manager B2B role is intended to drive top line sales, with healthy margin, through current and new business customer relationship management. While delivering on top line sales goals, the General Manager B2B will act as the Store Manager in their home store and be accountable for overall store financial deliverables.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Primary responsibility; Business customer relationships.
Drive the B2B customer culture by ensuring business customer needs are being met outside and in-store.
Ensure all key staff members perform all store services and developing individual relationships with every current and potential B2B customer.
Utilize store personnel to drive new customer leads and reach out to existing customers to gain their interest in doing more business with our organization.
Utilize Acenet online account management tool to add new accounts.
Utilize Eagle to add new accounts for in store purposes and creating custom category pricing plans.
Utilize Eagle and Acenet in conjunction to ensure acceptable levels of business product in-stocks are available for B2B customers.
Leverage current relationships to develop leads for new business and sales opportunities / ask for referrals.
Act as the B2B culture driver by introducing business customers to other leadership staff and associates at other locations ensuring continuity and consistency across the store(s).
Regularly makes in person account visits within a 50-mile radius of their home store.
Maintain a balance between B2B activities and daily in-store operations as needed.
Utilize specific POS station for B2B customers convenience Estimates, special orders, invoicing etc.
Utilize 1 office day per week to follow up on estimates / quotes and work to close the deal.
Set-up new vendor relationships and negotiate terms to ensure profitability and efficiency.
Work closely with the Director of Operations to procure products and show our depth of resources to the B2B customers.
Generates return business through excellent customer service.
Meet Bi-weekly (or as needed) with Director of Operations to discuss obstacles and determine current and future needs.
Monthly, Partner with D.O. to host events and demos with current and prospective customers utilizing B2B partners like Milwaukee, Stihl, Dewalt and Benjamin Moore.

A.SECONDARY JOB DUTIES

Accountable to ensure all controllable expenses are within budget range and lead to profitability.

Conducts and directs the business through the ASM to drive daily operational workflow needs.
Conducts weekly manager meeting with ASM (if Applicable) and Department Supervisors to discuss financials, operations, human capital and inventory management.
Understands and drives 7 Day Inventory Workflow standards through the ASM.
Ensures customer needs are met, complaints are resolved, and service is quick and efficient by driving staffing levels and staff competencies.
Evaluate competitor stores in merchandise, display and pricing with the intention to scrutinize and improve our own.
Provides guidance, mentorship, and leadership to ASM for all aspects of inventory, human capital and operations management.
Responsible for B2B culture development within the store and farming outside the store.
Responsible for human resource compliance
oResponsible for coaching and training a backup to perform the above tasks (ASM)
Schedules staff to provide optimal service to meet operational and financial goals.

Qualifications
Basic knowledge of retail computer systems, MS Word and Excel may be required.

Physical Demand
Climb stairs and ladders and lift using proper safety measures
Bending, Stooping, Twisting, and Reaching
Standing for lengthy periods of time (up to 10 hours or more)
Lifting up 50 to 80 pounds frequently throughout the day

Work Environment
Work in air-conditioned indoor settings and outside with local travel included
Ability to work fluctuating hours during peak seasons or as business necessitates
Travel to all store locations required
Ability to work other positions as needed to fill business needs
