Green Mountain Union High School is looking for a licensed special education teacher to work with middle school and high school students for the 2025-2026 school year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Providing instruction to students with disabilities individually, in groups, or within their classroom.
• Collaborating with teachers to identify best practices for differentiated instruction, designing and implementing Individual Education Plans for students.
• In addition, the Special Education Case Manager shall collect, review, update and securely store student files, convene and facilitate IEP and special education comprehensive evaluation meetings and reviews.
• Experience developing post-secondary transition plans, planning behavior assessments, specialized reading, writing or math instruction as well as familiarity with technology/digital learning and co-teaching preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Excellent communication skills including interpersonal, written and oral.
• Knowledge of curriculum modification based on understanding of learning theory and pedagogy practices in basic skill areas of reading, writing, speaking and mathematics.
• Ability to work with diverse populations of students, staff and parents.
• Demonstrated knowledge and skills related to collaboration with regular education staff, and inclusion of special needs students in regular education environment.
• Knowledge and skills regarding Individual Education Plan (IEP) development.
Salary : $46,990 - $92,790
