GRADD is seeking applicants for a full-time Program Assistant to work within its Community & Economic Development department. The Community & Economic Development department serves the seven county GRADD region by responding to the needs of the region while planning strategically for the future through the development and administration of projects to increase community development, economic development, rural development, environmental protection, hazard mitigation, infrastructure resiliency, housing, and address planning and zoning needs of our communities.
This position serves as support for the Community and Economic Development department, and provides assistance to cities and counties with research, public works, project planning, and development. The Program Assistant also helps staff provide technical assistance to local government officials, government agencies, community organizations, statewide development agencies, and financial institutions. This person will play a critical role in facilitating the department’s efficiency and effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Coordinate Department Operations: Assist with schedule management, meeting organization, and ensure smooth communication across the team.
2. Document Management: Prepare, proofread, and maintain accurate records, reports, public notices, media releases, and correspondence.
3. Record Keeping: Maintain GRADD’s local official information and assist with active and historical project records and documentation requirements.
4. Committee Support: Assist with meeting preparation and documentation for GRADD standing committee meetings.
5. Support Decision-Making: Compile and present data or reports to assist in decision-making processes.
6. Resource Management: Maintain office supplies and equipment, ensuring all resources are readily available.
7. Event and Travel Coordination: Arrange logistics for meetings, conferences, and travel for staff as needed.
8. Front Desk Reception Support: Serve as backup assistance for the GRADD receptionist.
