Job Description
As a Production Technician, you will play a critical role in the production process, working closely with management to ensure that all products meet the highest standards of quality and safety. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering on production goals: Meet daily targets while maintaining a focus on safety and quality.
- Producing product per recipes and SOPs: Maintain high-quality standards by following established procedures.
- Packaging and labeling: Ensure all products are packaged and labeled correctly to meet state regulations.
- Compliance and quality control: Adhere to laboratory protocols and quality control methods throughout the entire process.
You will be responsible for managing time efficiently, meeting goals, and consistently producing high-quality products. A positive attitude, self-motivation, and a willingness to learn and adapt are essential qualities for success in this role.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed as a Production Technician, you will need:
- High School Education or GED graduate; some college or college graduate preferred.
- 1-2 years' experience in manufacturing, food processing, warehousing, and/or inventory preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to work well in a group and independently, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
You must also be able to follow basic instructions, accept constructive criticism, and exhibit personal hygiene and health guidelines set forth by GTI.
Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to perform reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions. You must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time while maintaining focus. The physical demands of this role require lifting, carrying, and balancing up to 50 pounds with extreme care and caution when working with product. Daily exposure to allergens such as cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil is a requirement of this position.
