Job Description:
The Production Tech is a crucial role in transforming raw cannabis flower into our premium medicated products. Reporting to the management team, this individual will be responsible for production, packaging, and handling of products, inventory management, adherence to compliance requirements, and prioritizing safety in our facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet production goals while ensuring safety and quality
- Produce products according to recipes and SOPs, maintaining high standards
- Package products in containers with accurate labeling to comply with state regulations
- Follow processing procedures and laboratory protocols
- Comply with local and state regulations
- Adhere to quality control methods throughout the process
- Document manufacturing methods and maintain records
- Convert packaged products to the state traceability system electronically
- Manage time efficiently to meet goals and produce quality products
- Promote good housekeeping habits and maintain a clean work area
- Exhibit basic organizational skills, communication skills, and proficiency in Windows-based operating software
- Use independent judgment regarding product processing, considering quality and goals
- Contribute to a positive environment by demonstrating self-motivation and a positive attitude
Requirements:
- High School Education or equivalent; some college or college graduate preferred
- 1-2 years of experience in manufacturing, food processing, warehousing, and/or inventory preferred
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered
- Ability to work well in a group and independently, demonstrate self-motivation, and initiative
- Quick adaptation to changes in policy, procedure, and technique
- Personal hygiene and adherence to health guidelines set forth by GTI
- Effective communication and listening skills
- Able to perform monotonous tasks with efficiency and maintain quality
- Will to follow instructions and accept constructive criticism
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license or State ID card
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Pass all required background checks
- Compliance with all legal and company regulations for working in the industry
- Approval by the Cannabis Compliance Board to receive an Agent Card
Working Conditions:
- Frequent reaching, grasping, bending, stooping, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motions
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods
- PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Lifting, carrying, and balancing up to 50 pounds with extreme care and caution when working with product
- Daily exposure to allergens (cannabis, tree nuts, and coconut oil)
