What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cashier/Stocker position at Green Valley Smoke Shop?
Overview:
We’re seeking reliable and customer-oriented employees to join our team. As an employee, you’ll be responsible for providing good customer service, processing transactions accurately, and maintaining a clean plus organized work environment. If you have good communication skills and enjoy working in a constantly moving environment, we’d LOVE to hear from you. We do start you out with 35 hours a week. After your trial period you can get 40 hours. We are very flexible and willing to work with your own personal availability.
Duties:
- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming attitude
- Scan and process customer purchases accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash transactions and provide customers with correct change
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and product information
- Assist customers with locating products and answering any questions they may ask
- Ensure that the store is clean, organized, and products are well stocked
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales and provide excellent customer service
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding cash handling, refunds, and discounts
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a customer service or retail environment is preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers
- Reliable time management skills when coming into work
- Ability to work in a constant moving environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organizing skills to keep inventory stocked and the store looking good
- Able to control how much time you help a single or one group of customer(s)
- Familiarity with electronic registers
