Summary:
Our ideal candidate will be passionate about the Mission of Greenacres and our values. They will have demonstrable experience in event organization along with the attitude required to learn. The Senior Events Coordinator is a full-time position that will work collaboratively with our Events Director and Event Managers and will assist in being the face of Greenacres for all events. This candidate will be hands-on and provide top-notch service to our guests while maintaining the integrity of the Greenacres brand through efforts supported by a variety of community and rental events. Responsibilities:
- Lead and plan Mission Related Events as assigned.
- Manage vendor documentation.
- Work alongside Event Manager on event tasks.
- Attend meetings and communicate with vendors to receive invoicing and documentation, order alcohol, food for event, etc.
- Track, measure, report and evaluate vendor performance to ensure we are providing the highest quality service to our guests.
- Work most mission events and private events.
- Troubleshoot all problems and present to management as required.
- Identify improvement areas internally as well as perform closely with all internal stakeholders to prepare solutions.
- Always have a “how can I help” approach to events.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree in Event Management and/or three years’ experience in a related field of study. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Ability to work weekdays, evenings, weekends, and possible holidays, including potential early morning, daytime, and late evening shifts.
- Experience working with events technology, selecting and overseeing events-related software installations, and managing relationships with software vendors.
- A successful track record in setting priorities; keen analytics, organization, and problem-solving skills that support and enable sound decision-making.
- Ability to handle stress gracefully is a must.
- Willingness and ability to travel to multiple Greenacres sites and campuses (all currently within an hour drive of our Indian Hill site). Ability to assist with training and delegating tasks to staff, such as interns.
- Ability to coordinate vendor relationships.
- Ability to work with both internal and external partners with the same or very different backgrounds to ensure all who visit Greenacres get the highest Quality experience that addresses their needs.
- Ability to successfully pass a post-offer pre-employment drug test and fingerprint FBI background screen.
