Position Overview
The Director of Environmental Services will oversee the complete Event Restroom Life Cycle for Greenawalt Hospitality. This includes sales and client coordination, financial reconciliation, logistical scheduling, production management, and inventory control. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and experience in managing complex, mobile event services.
This role will operate primarily out of our warehouse in Auburn, AL, though qualified candidates based in Birmingham, AL will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all phases of restroom service delivery—from initial sale to post-event reconciliation.
- Develop and maintain client relationships; generate proposals and close contracts.
- Coordinate logistics including scheduling of deliveries, technician dispatch, and on-site service execution.
- Supervise production, ensuring quality setup, servicing, and takedown of units.
- Track and reconcile event finances including labor, service fees, and operational costs.
- Oversee asset and inventory control for restroom trailers, supplies, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all local health and safety regulations.
- Train, supervise, and support a high-performing environmental services team.
- Collaborate with other departments to align restroom services with broader event operations.
- Manage third-party vendors or subcontractors when necessary.
Travel Requirements
- Frequent travel is required during event-heavy periods and peak seasons.
- Greenawalt Hospitality provides lodging, per diems, and mileage reimbursement for work-related travel.
- Candidate must be willing to travel regionally and work on the road for extended stretches.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in logistics, operations, event services, or environmental services.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management experience.
- Strong knowledge of budget reconciliation and inventory systems.
- Excellent client service, communication, and organizational skills.
- CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred.
- Experience hauling and maneuvering trailers is highly preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak times.
- Valid driver’s license required.
