We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. Duties
- Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival and provide a welcoming atmosphere.
- Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently.
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
- Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
- Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations or treatments as needed.
- Provide information on animal husbandry, pet care, and clinic services to clients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
- Handle client concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of animal handling techniques, including animal restraint and basic husbandry practices.
- Familiarity with various aspects of pet care, including grooming, dog training, equine care, and veterinary critical care is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient computer skills for managing appointment scheduling and client records.
