What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Technician position at Greene County Sheriff's Office?
The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is accepting applications for a full time Accounting Technician. Please read entire function list, as this is a dual accounting/clerical position. Data entry experience a plus. Monday-Friday. Starting Salary: $44,242. Benefits: Health/Dental/Life Insurance; Retirement; Vacation & Sick Leave.
Essential Functions:
- Type correspondence, reports and other business documents in a clear, concise manner.
- Process accounts payables, monitor costs and expenses for budgetary control.
- Process a variety of monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Prepares personnel files; enters and monitors training records.
- Enters a variety of information into computer system, verifies statistical and other records for accuracy and completeness; enters and retrieves sensitive and restricted information into computer system. Distributes and files monthly reports.
Requirements
- Confidentiality is essential.
- Proficient in MS Office and become skilled with police software system.
- Skilled in bookkeepting/Accounting
- Solid organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
