Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing purchasing, inventory, and material needs for the Fire District.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage all RFPs (requests for proposals) for goods and services.
- Procure and deliver sundries to four stations.
- Coordinate annual inspections and maintenance of equipment with the District Chief and Board of Fire Commissioners.
- Arrange station maintenance with the Maintenance Employee.
- Track procurement budgets and report variances to the Board of Fire Commissioners and Treasurer.
- Conduct inventory, testing, and repairs of equipment via authorized software.
- Oversee the EMS supply system and firefighter fit testing.
- Manage IT systems and support the I AM Responding system.
- Act as primary liaison with vendors and contractors.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in MS Office, QuickBooks, or similar software.
- Familiarity with New York State Fire District laws.
- Associate's degree or 3 years of experience in procurement.
Requirements:
- Bondable, NYS driver's license, DMV/LENS enrollment, and district residency or willingness to relocate.
