About the Role:
As an Activities Assistant, you will assist in planning and executing activity programs designed for residents to reestablish and maintain their independent lifestyles and quality of life.
What you will be doing as an Activities Assistant:
Develops and supports resident activities to enhance physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being, promoting independence and community interaction.
Assists in planning and conducting monthly activity calendars and various activities (large group, small group, one-on-one).
Manages documentation in compliance with State/Federal requirements and completes activity assessments and charting.
Trains and coordinates volunteers and interns, and participates in resident care conferences.
Escorts and transports residents to activities, maintaining a safe and clean activity space.
Communicates with the Activities Director and other departments to ensure smooth operation and planning of activities.
Assists with outdoor visitations and performs other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
Experience and Education:
Minimum age of 17.
A high school diploma or a GED.
One to three month of experience or related training.
Skills:
Ability to effectively able to read and interpret documents.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Basic mathematical skills.
Ability to reason and problem solve.
Basic technical skills.
