FUNCTION:
Serves as a Mutual Employee of Greenfield Savings Bank, and Osaic, Inc. Responsible for the sale of investment and insurance products and services through Osaic, Inc. Assists the management of the Greenfield Savings Bank Trust Department at the discretion of the Senior Trust Officer.
RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Accepts and conforms to the terms of the employment agreement(s) executed between the employee and the Bank including a mutual employment agreement executed between the employee, the Bank, Osaic, Inc.
- Identifies and solicits business from potential clients through personal contacts and referrals.
- Meets with clients to determine financial and insurance needs, develops financial plans as appropriate, recommends investment/insurance strategies, and presents appropriate investment/insurance options.
- Responsible for maintaining on-going knowledge of current market conditions, new products, services and tax law changes within the financial services industry.
- Schedules and conducts seminars such as financial planning, estate planning, retirement planning and education planning.
- Ensures that the office, marketing materials, client files, seminar materials and new accounts are compliant with all state and federal laws and regulatory requirements and guidelines.
- Ensures adherence to all policies, procedures and requirements of the Bank and Osaic.
- Conducts the training of Bank personnel to enhance the success of the Bank’s investment referral process.
- Works with senior management to develop and implement goals and objectives as set forth in the Bank’s annual business plan.
- Identifies and refers Trust, Loan and Deposit opportunities to appropriate Bank staff.
- Represents the Bank by participation in community affairs, clubs and organizations to assess the needs of the community, enhance the Bank’s visibility and increase new business opportunities.
- Perform other similar duties as required or requested by supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS EXPERIENCE REQUIRMENTS:
- Track record of successful sales/service performance in the investment services business.
- Extensive knowledge of investment and insurance products and services and their application and appropriateness to individual customer needs and goals.
- Ability to motivate people and communicate effectively through excellent interpersonal skills.
- Possess a four-year college degree or comparable work experience and 3-8 years of experience in the sale of investment and insurance products.
- Possess a current Series 7, Series 63 or 66, Life, Accident and Health Insurance License. CFP designation preferred.
- Able to travel freely around Western Massachusetts without restriction.
