GreenKey Solar is a nimble, fast-growing renewable energy development firm. Our goal? To combat the climate crisis head-on by developing utility scale renewable energy projects in key growth markets. We are small but mighty, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced. We work collaboratively in a hybrid environment with offices in Portland and Bend, OR. For this position, we are looking for someone to work out of our Bend office. We are a team of doers, taking ownership of our work and proactively solving problems to achieve ambitious goals.

Your Mission:

As a Development Project Manager with GreenKey Solar, you will be a key player in our mission. You’ll work on our development team, taking projects from site control through the entirety of the development cycle with the ultimate goal of seeing the project through to construction. You’ll manage communication and relationships with stakeholders that include landowners, utilities, regulators and governmental agencies, commissions and subcontractors, as well as collaborating with a team of project managers, permitters and developers. You’ll help bring opportunities to life, driving the process with accountability, creativity, and ownership from start to finish. Your primary role will be to push projects forward, stay organized, and make sure that we are executing on the opportunities that we have in our pipeline.

Your Key Responsibilities:

• Ownership of Projects: Take ownership of projects that have been submitted to the utility’s interconnection queue and become the expert on that project. You will be informed on everything from the site constraints, to title issues, to permitting timelines and interconnection.
• Lease Negotiations: Project manage the lease negotiation process with the landowner and landowner’s attorney (if applicable). Utilize in-house legal resources for finalizing lease language but you will drive the process and make sure that leases are signed in a timely manner.
• Relationship Management: Once a project has been submitted for interconnection, you will take ownership of the landowner relationship for that project. You will make sure to keep the landowner informed of all stages as the project progresses and will build trust and rapport with the landowner throughout the project lifecycle.
• Willingness to Travel: This position will require travel to relevant markets in order to attend public hearings, meet landowners on site or meet with other stakeholders.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with utility partners, government bodies, community groups, and other stakeholders, ensuring that projects receive the necessary support.
• Organization and Drive: Stay organized while managing a high volume of projects. Know who on the team is responsible for what and make sure that development items are getting pushed forward and are completed.
• Problem-Solving: Problems will inevitably arise! You have an inclination for finding solutions and strive to make things easier and more efficient for yourself and the team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• PMP Certification is desirable but not required.
• 3 years of project management experience. Experience with managing large-scale renewable energy projects is a plus.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and creative thinking skills.
• Demonstrated initiative and a self-starter attitude—someone who sees what needs to be done and takes action.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on results.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
