DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Troubleshooting equipment that is down
- Hands on type person who can work on equipment as well as train individuals in processes and equipment fixes
- Manage projects and follow through with details
- Design small brackets and fixtures
- Work on continuous improvement projects
- Work with quality on Corrective action solutions
- Work on cost reduction projects
- Responsible for equipment uptime
- Report any potential food safety, quality of food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
- Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
- Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance and quality systems
- Other duties as needed
- Must Follow All Company Policies and Procedures
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- 0 to 5 years experience in a Manufacturing Engineering role
- Experience with Flexible Packaging, sealing machines and or injection molding preferred is plus
- CAD experience preferred
- Engineering degree, in Mechanical, Electrical, Packaging or Plastics Engineering
- Programming of PLC’s a plus
- Willingness to learn as well as teach
- Converting or film knowledge a plus
- Ability to learn quickly
