What You’ll Be Doing
- Executing demands efficiently in a high volume restaurant
- Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Preparing food for service
- Ensuring that food is of high quality and served in a timely fashion
- Setting up and stocking stations with necessary supplies
- Stocking inventory
- Keeping work station clean
- Maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Qualifications
What You Need for this Position
- Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen setting. (fine dining experience is a plus)
- Understanding of ingredients, equipment, procedures and various cooking methods
- Ability to multitask and communicate in a team kitchen
- Basic knife skills
- Able to stand for long periods of time, up to 8 hours or more
- Able to stoop and bend
- Occasionally able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Able to safely work with potentially dangerous chemicals and equipment
- Able to comply with safety and health code standards
- Able to handle responsibilities that require repetitive motion tasks
