What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician III position at Greensboro Housing Authority?
The Greensboro Housing Authority seeks candidates to perform a wide variety of skilled tasks in the maintenance and repair of facilities, utility systems, grounds maintenance and preventative maintenance within our communities. Advanced carpentry, plumbing, heating, refrigeration, electrical and painting skills are required. Candidates must have a high school diploma (or equivalent), a valid North Carolina driver’s license and safe driving record. Applicants with dominant skills or possess licenses in any of the above disciplines will be given priority consideration. Physical Requirements: Must be able to move objects of up to 75 pounds and/or up to 10 pounds frequently. Requires the ability to stoop, crouch, climb and/or stretch arms, legs or other body parts to grasp objects. Physical demands requirements are in excess of those for sedentary work. Light work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree. However, if the use of arm and or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
