We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Estimating Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscaping management and project management, with expertise in estimating costs and bidding projects. This role is crucial for ensuring accurate pricing, cost control and organization throughout the project lifecycle. The Estimating Manager will oversee project sales from start to finish, meeting with clients to build comprehensive estimates that align with company goals and client expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed cost estimates for landscaping projects- including hardscapes- ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Experience with Jobber is not necessary but highly encouraged- Will use Jobber to create, analyze, and present estimates.
• Collaborate with vendors and installation teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing.
• Conduct thorough reviews of plans, specifications, and options to identify potential risks and opportunities.
• Negotiate pricing with subcontractors and suppliers to secure the best possible terms for the company.
• Implement cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle to maintain budget adherence.
• Provide leadership and guidance to installation team members, fostering a collaborative work environment.
• Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and techniques to enhance estimating practices.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in estimating within the landscaping industry; a background in project management is preferred.
• Thorough knowledge of common regional plantings, hardscapes and frequently used materials.
• Strong organization and management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as Jobber.
• Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful contract negotiations.
• Solid understanding of site operations and processes.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost analysis.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients, vendors and fellow team members.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Hours are flexible (part-time or full-time) with starting pay being determined by experience. In addition to base pay, this position will also receive monthly commission bonuses on projects sold and completed. We are a pay-for-performance company offering frequent opportunities for raises. This position is PTO and paid holiday eligible.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
