Position Summary: Warehouse Assistant is a position in the operations division of the Company. This position works primarily assisting the Warehouse Crew Lead. Works as part of a team in support of Operations and Safety with a goal of maintaining par standards for all Inventory, Parts and Tools.
Essential Functions:
· Assist with inventory of PPE, parts, or tools and safety equipment.
· Accurately enter data into corresponding fields within various software programs using appropriate quality control methods.
· Operate office equipment (copier/scanners) and digital communication devices (i.e. iPhones; iPads; and Laptops).
· Install needed applications on digital communication devices.
· Troubleshoot problems that arise with digital communication devices.
· Experience with maintaining inventory or dispatching high volume service work, digitally transmitted is desirable.
· Assist in running errands as required; driving to and from vendors if needed.
· Accountable for following all DOT, OSHA, and established Company rules, regulation, and guidelines.
· Does all other related work as required to complete the job.
· Must be able to work outside, frequently in inclement weather conditions.
· Follow all company safety rules and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
· Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
· A valid Driver’s License is preferred but not required.
· Ability to work with minimal supervision in an organized fashion, customer service oriented, a problem solver, reliable, ethical, able to adapt to the people and environment around them - customers, suppliers, co-workers.
· Willing to work over-time when requested.
· Willing to accept challenges and overcome.
· Ability to perform well under stress
· Ability to work as a team member
· High School diploma, GED or vocational training/certification
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle and feel; and reach with hands and arms.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. This position is performed in outside weather conditions.
