Network Engineer / Senior Network Engineer

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with a required 3 days in the East Lansing, MI office.

Major Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain network infrastructure for peak performance.
• Install, configure, and support cutting-edge software and hardware.
• Provide expert mentorship to junior staff and deliver top-notch service to employees and clients.
• Resolve complex technical issues and ensure minimal downtime.
• Lead projects, collaborate with internal teams, and stay ahead of industry trends.
• Provide 24x7 rotation on call support.
  
  

Position requirements:

• Bachelor's degree is required. Degree in Computer Science, business or closely related major is preferred.
• 5 years of computer processing/application or equivalent experience required.
• 5 years of knowledge with network operating systems (LAN/WAN), data and voice communications.
• 5 years’ experience with network design and implementation, including LAN, WAN, and VPN.
• 3 years of knowledge with SD-WAN technology.
• 3 years of knowledge with Cisco security tools such as Cisco Umbrella and Cisco ISE.
• 1 years’ experience with Cloud Networking such as AWS or Azure.
• Professional certifications such as CCNP or CCIE is a plus.
• The incumbent should have a good attitude, commitment to work and ability to be a team player along with the ability to troubleshoot the following systems:
• DNS
• LAN/WAN Infrastructure
• Security Appliances to include Firewalls, VPN, WAF, and Load Balancers
• DHCP
• TCP/IP Routing
• Microsoft Azure Networking
• MS Teams Telephony
