Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Director of Housekeeping to join our team at Greentree Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The Director of Housekeeping will oversee the housekeeping and environmental services departments, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents and team. This individual will be responsible for managing housekeeping staff, maintaining compliance with health regulations, and ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are maintained throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and evaluate housekeeping staff to ensure proper cleaning and sanitization procedures are followed.
- Oversee daily housekeeping operations, including resident room cleaning, laundry, and public areas.
- Develop and implement cleaning protocols to meet regulatory standards and infection control guidelines.
- Coordinate and schedule housekeeping shifts to ensure adequate coverage at all times.
- Ensure that safety procedures are followed to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Work closely with the nursing and administrative teams to address facility-specific cleanliness and safety concerns.
- Perform regular inspections of the facility to ensure cleanliness standards are being met.
- Respond to and resolve any complaints or issues regarding housekeeping services.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to housekeeping in healthcare settings.
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Housekeeping Manager or Director in a healthcare or nursing home environment.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- In-depth knowledge of cleaning procedures, infection control standards, and safety regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certification in healthcare environmental services (e.g., CHESP) is a plus.
Working Conditions:
