Greentree Manor is a 90-bed, family-owned skilled nursing facility in Waterford, Connecticut. We are currently seeking a full-time Director of Nursing. Come join our team!
The Responsibilities of the Director of Nurses include but are not limited to
- Develop and participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timely in-service training classes that provide instructions on "how to do the job," and ensure a well-educated nursing service department.
- Ensures completion of Reportable Events. Verifies that each is numbered, and interventions taken as required.
- Ensures that policies and procedures are followed for classification and reporting of reportable events.
- updating written policies and procedures for the administration, storage, and control of medications and supplies.
- Participate in regularly scheduled reviews of the Discharge Plans.
- Evaluate and implement recommendations from established committees as they may pertain to nursing services.
- Prepare nursing report for Medical Staff Meeting
- Ensure that medical and nursing care is administered in accordance with the resident's wishes, including the implementation of advance directives.

Requirements:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Must have, as a minimum, 2 year(s) of experience as a supervisor in a long-term care facility, or other related health care facility and one year nursing service administration.
- Be able to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner.
- Be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 40 pounds to a minimum height of 3 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 4 feet.

Salary : $94,400 - $120,000
