What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool and Die Maker position at Greenville Tool and Die?
Greenville Tool & Die has established itself as a leader in the industry by providing tooling expertise from structural parts to Class A finishes. We have the capability to design and build automotive, appliance, trucking, construction, agricultural, and lawn and garden tooling from small line dies to very large transfer and progressive dies.
```Duties:```
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, or computer-aided design (CAD) files to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpieces
- Set up, operate, and maintain a variety of machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and CNC machines
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of finished workpieces
- Assemble and fit together parts to create tools, dies, jigs, or fixtures
- Inspect finished workpieces for quality and make any necessary adjustments or repairs
- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop new tooling designs or improve existing ones
- Troubleshoot issues with tooling or equipment and recommend solutions
```Requirements:```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or technical school training in tool and die making (Journeyman Card)
- Proficiency in reading engineering data and using precision measuring instruments
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of tooling principles
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
This position requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic and be able to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
Available Shift Schedules:
Day Shift: Monday through Friday with additional overtime available on Saturday & Sunday.
Night Shift: Monday through Thursday with additional overtime available on Friday and Sunday.
Pay is based on experience.

Expected hours: 40 – 48 per week
