Greenwich Commodities LLC is an energy trading firm with offices located in both Metro Detroit and Metro Denver (you can choose either location) that focuses on trading in wholesale competitive electricity markets throughout the US. We are looking for up to three Electric Power Trading Analyst Interns to work with our trading team in support of trading, pricing and valuation analytical efforts for the energy trading business. The candidate must be adept at working independently as well as have strong collaborative capabilities across the IT, Trading and Risk teams. This position will report to the head of the Trading and Analytics team.
Position Tasks/Responsibilities:
o Build, maintain, research, execute and calibrate electric power models.
o Perform general quantitative analyses with Python
Requirements:
o BS, MS or PhD in Electrical Power Engineering or related fields.
o Strong Python skills.
o Strong academic experience in the field of power system analysis and economics is a plus.
