Greenwich Woods Rehabilitation seeks Full Time Director of Admissions to join our team!
Greenwich Woods is a 217-bed long term/short term rehabilitation facility that has been serving the Westchester and Fairfield Counties for more than 30 years. Our facility is conveniently located on the border of Rye Brook NY, with easy access to the Hutchinson/Merritt Parkways and I-684.

Highly visible, the Admissions Coordinator combines clinical skills with a business/marketing approach. Candidate will assume a key leadership role in achieving objectives by identifying potential admissions for short-term rehabilitation services and/or long-term skilled nursing care.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify short- and long-range solutions towards expanding referral volume, improving referral-to-admission outcomes, as well as identifying additional areas for potential growth
- Facilitate admissions via key referral sources including acute care settings, physician sources and the local community
- Demonstrate knowledge of insurance coverage relative to inpatient rehabilitation service
- Demonstrate ability to identify and assist with the management of barriers to admission through consistent communication and troubleshooting with facility admissions and clinical team
- Coordinate the resident referral and approval process in an efficient manner
- Establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with primary referral sources, including hospitals and physicians
- Knowledgeable of nursing home admissions procedures including assessments & related requirements
- Ability to effectively manage electronic discharge referrals
- Serve as a liaison between nursing home and outside community agencies to generate leads and referrals.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must have a minimum of 1-3 years experience in health care admissions, as well as a working knowledge of skilled nursing/sub acute facility admissions and/or hospital case management.
- Ability to work independently and with a team
- Experience in community relations preferred
- Must be self-driven with excellent internal sales/marketing skills
- Applicant must have experience in post-acute and long-term care Admissions procedures, including a working knowledge of the Medicare/Medicaid and Managed Care reimbursement processes
- Ability to effectively manage electronic referrals, experience with EpicLink, NaviHealth, and Allscripts preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively through sound business decisions, diplomacy and discretion
