Job Description
Reliability Support will work with site leadership and the Reliability Engineer to create a world class reliability program, supporting manufacturing and facility operations. Reliability Support will identify and manage asset risk while incorporating maintenance best practices. Reliability Support will assist the reliability engineer in collecting data, which includes the use of specialized test equipment for vibration, thermal, and electrical analysis and collecting oil samples when needed. Reliability Support will store the relevant data for the reliability engineer to organize and extract useful information.
Responsibilities
Work with the Facilities Reliability Engineering Technician to effectively manage Proactive Maintenance initiatives to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations and adheres to the life cycle asset management (LCAM) process throughout the entire life cycle of production assets
Work with the Facilities Reliability Engineering Technician to help develop, improve, and execute the plant's Proactive Maintenance initiatives to ensure the reliability and maintainability of production assets
Perform both electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair of production equipment from basic hydraulic and mechanical equipment to complex PLC-controlled machinery
Assist maintenance technicians with troubleshooting and repairing electric, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic instruments and systems used to control plant operations
Conduct predictive maintenance inspections using predictive technologies like vibration analysis, ultrasonic, oil analysis, and thermography
Utilize CMMS system to manage work orders and review work history
Ensure all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities
Based on the nature of the essential functions associated with this role, GreenWood has designated this as a “safety-sensitive” position.
Develop, prepare, and present recommendations and reports as requested
Other duties and special projects as assigned
Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Three years of experience, preferably by formal training, in principles and standards for advance mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical equipment operations
Three years of experience with PLC and CNC test equipment
Must have good mathematical skills to include basic algebra for calculation of electrical/electronic equations as applicable
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
High motivated, disciplined problem-solver/troubleshooter
Ability to plan and execute work effectively
Ability to be well-organized and prepared for responsibility and decision making
- Ability to work well with multiple clients, understand the complexities of a client-contractor relationship
- Ability to support site safety programs with excellent results
Ability to use precision measurement tools
Strong Ethics and ability to work alone.
Experience demonstrating successful support of a positive safety culture
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
Beneficial Skills and Experience
Post-secondary education and/or a technical trade certificate is an asset
More than 5 years of experience in a heavy manufacturing facility is helpful
Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts
Advanced PLC knowledge with troubleshooting and repairing electric, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic instruments and systems used to control plant operations
