Job Description
The Washer System Maintenance Technician performs routine preventative maintenance in accordance with work instructions, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
- Ensure all safety, environmental and health procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities
- Maintain all company equipment/assets to the highest standard and support company 5S requirements in all areas
- Participate in shift meetings and continuous improvement activities
- Pump out, clean out and refill washers with water and wash agents per an established schedule to maintain integrity of production process via use of sump pumps, heated pressure washers, cleaning agents and equipment
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, to include: seals, gaskets, filters & filter material, magnets, screens
- Gain access to machinery to add or remove oil/coolant to manufacturing equipment
- Check and adjust control instruments for washer systems at the direction of Washer Systems Technician 1 or Manufacturing Setup Technician
- Collect and provide samples for quality to verify fluids are in specified range per manufacturer guidelines
- Operate material handling equipment to support operations and other areas
- Scrap/Chips/Swarf management to included: removal, dumping, and replacement of filled hoppers
- Properly report work hours, activities, and inventory usage in SAP work order system and inventory log books
