What are the responsibilities and job description for the Treatment Plant Maintenance Technician position at Greenwood Metropolitan District?
Performs preventive and corrective maintenance which includes changing and adding oil and grease to motors, gear boxes, blowers and generators.
Installing wiring for electrical devices, switches, receptacles, etc.
Inspects starters and pump motors; clean contacts, checks breakers, loose connections on relays, terminal blocks, etc.
Troubleshoots alternating currents on electric motors in order to determine problems such as overloads, bad connections, and shorts.
Checks volts, ohms, and amps on motors at plants using volt-ohm meter and temperature and vibration sensor.
Prepares confined space entry forms, preventative and corrective maintenance activity reports, equipment repair forms as required.
Maintains assigned equipment in proper working conditions; checks oil, water and fuel and reports major repair needs in prompt manner.
Operates and utilizes various types of machines, equipment and tools.
Enters, reviews, maintains inventory of parts, and various problems information into the information management system for adequate retrieval for restocking and finding information for trends.
Knows how to read blueprints and sketches.
Maintains accurate and neat reports relative to plant and pump station operations and preventive maintenance performed.

Pay: From $23.10 per hour
