About the Role:
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our vehicle assembly production lines in Morristown, ensuring efficient production, safety, and quality. This role involves managing staff, overseeing production processes, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Safety and Quality: Lead zero workplace injuries through behavior-based safety, daily shop floor safety inspections, prompt root cause investigation of all safety incidents, and review of quality metrics.
- Maintenance and Repair: Ensure all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and in good working order, develop and implement preventive maintenance programs, and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Logistics and Distribution: Manage daily shipments, resolve shortfalls, and provide daily reinforcement of site responsibility to supply customers with required product.
- Budget and Cost Management: Develop and manage the plant's operating budget, monitor expenses, implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality, and prepare financial and operational reports for senior management.
