Position Summary: The Shipping Lead is an elevated role within the department that will assist the supervisor maintain a positive work environment while following shipping procedures and process. This position must have excellent attendance, eye for detail, computer knowledge, and the ability to adapt to an ever-changing work flow.
Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
- Coordinates shipping activities including labor assignments, building outbound pallets, verifications of loads, placement of product, inventory control.
- Monitor workflow. Release order waves to keep pickers picking throughout the entire shift.
- Maintain visibility of AGV system to ensure continuous flow of orders.
- Monitor and retain all action items and deliverables.
- Participate in management meetings and develop key takeaways, action items and deliverables.
- Work closely to support the Operations on forecasting and flow of goods.
- Ad hoc reporting, analytics, and recommendations
- Maintain Clean working Environment inside and outside receiving area. Including but not limited to:
- Sweeping
- Dispensing of trash
- Cleaning isles of debris
- Cleaning trailer/containers, free of debris
- Stacking/unstacking pallets to avoid trip hazards
Required Skills and Experience:

- Forklift 1 year experience (preferred)
- Ability to use a manual or motorized pallet jack
- Ability to lift 5- 50lbs or team lift 50 lbs throughout shift
- Ability to squat, bend, stoop, turn, twist, forward, backward, side to side motion throughout shift.
- Knowledge of operating Wrap Machine (preferred)
- Ability to successfully complete and pass all pre-employment screening and drug test.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Lead or manager experience a plus
- 1 year of shipping product to distribution centers and end users
- 1 year of shipping experience W/ bills of lading, data entry, Proof of delivery (POD’s)
- 1 year of use of various tracking programs (SAP) & Basic office equipment (copier, printers, fax, etc.)
- 1 year of stand-up forklift
