Position Overview: Gregor Industries is seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer/Painter for multiple project sites across New Jersey and New York City. This position requires someone who can handle multiple tasks efficiently, work independently, and maintain a professional attitude while working evenings and weekends. The role involves both carpentry and painting duties, requiring a solid understanding of the trade, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
What You'll Do:
- Follow daily work instructions from the Supervisor and execute tasks efficiently.
- Safely load, unload, and transport materials to and from job sites.
- Perform general labor tasks as needed, including assisting with waste disposal and recycling activities.
- Maintain company material handling equipment and keep work areas safe and organized.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities, including basic electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Operate manual material handling equipment (hand jacks, carts) safely.
- Perform carpentry tasks such as drywall installation, spackling, and skim-coating.
- Maintain a clean driving record and follow transportation laws when driving company vehicles.
What You’ll Need:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Own basic hand tools.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, with some travel to New Jersey and NYC job sites.
Licenses/Certifications Preferred, but not Required:
- OSHA 30 Certification
- DOB Certification
- SST 40 Certification
