Position Overview: Gregor Industries is seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer/Painter for multiple project sites across New Jersey and New York City. This role combines expertise in construction labor, painting, and carpentry with daily cleaning responsibilities to ensure our business premises are pristine and customer-ready. The ideal candidate will be a versatile professional who excels in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality workmanship and maintaining the cleanliness of the work area.
What You'll Do:
- Follow daily work instructions from the Supervisor and execute tasks efficiently.
- Safely load, unload, and transport materials to and from job sites.
- Perform general labor tasks as needed, including assisting with waste disposal and recycling activities.
- Ensure all areas are clean and presentable before the business opens to customers each day. This includes vacuuming, wiping down surfaces, and removing debris.
- Maintain company material handling equipment and keep work areas safe and organized.
- Conduct routine inspections of facilities, including basic electrical and mechanical maintenance.
- Operate manual material handling equipment (hand jacks, carts) safely.
- Perform carpentry tasks such as drywall installation, spackling, and skim-coating.
- Maintain a clean driving record and follow transportation laws when driving company vehicles.
What You’ll Need:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Own basic hand tools.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends, with some travel to New Jersey and NYC job sites.
Licenses/Certifications Preferred, but not Required:
- OSHA 30 Certification
- DOB Certification
- SST 40 Certification
